The 2022 - 2023 school year will be my twenty-eighth year in the classroom and my sixth year in Gladewater ISD. Besides teaching middle school and high school dyslexia intervention classes, I have also taught pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, first grade, second grade, third grade self-contained, and sixth grade reading. 

I was raised in Longview, TX and graduated from Sabine High School. I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization in Reading from Stephen F. Austin State University. I have two daughters, Taylor and Kennedy. Taylor is beginning her second year of teaching and will be teaching first grade this year at Rockwall ISD. Kennedy is finishing up her elementary education degree at Stephen F. Austin State University.
