Houston Livestock and Rodeo - Due 01/31/2025
Here is scholarship information from HLSR that gives a student in Gregg County a $20,000 scholarship to a student going to a school in Texas.
HLSR - The Scholarship Application website is OPEN. You can check it

The Deadline is January 31, 2025 so encourage students to start now!
There are many opportunities for our students and students can apply for
every scholarship for which they meet the requirements. Please make
sure to emphasize that students do NOT have to exhibit or participate in
any HLSR activity to apply for a scholarship

CHRISTUS Health, and we have our annual Women with Heart Scholarship contest - Due 01/31/2025
CHRISTUS Health, and we have our annual Women with Heart Scholarship contest…. 5,000 / 2,500 / and 1500 scholarship awards that we award every year to a graduating senior.
It is based strictly on the kids making a 2-minute video on women’s heart health. Super easy and Super fun. They can make right on their smart phone.
Please encourage them to participate. Many of our teachers in the past have given a “special grade or bonus for just participating, and we can even award volunteer certificate time if need be.
They only have a few weeks left and the odd are great. All graduating seniors are eligible.

GHS Generic Scholarship - due 01/31/25
This was passed out to all seniors in Coach Clark's Class, it has been uploaded into the Google Classroom as well.
Follow the directions and return to Mrs. Humphreys with all the documentation.

Eastman Chemical Co. - Due 01/31/2025
Remember a couple of weeks ago when Mr. Alvarez presented on the Eastman Opportunity to the Seniors in Government/Econ Class with Mrs. Clark?
Here are some of the docs needed to apply. This is a fantastic opportunity in some fun and challenging work areas that pay extremely well!
The QR code will take the student to the application. Note that there are several referenced scholarships and applicants are encouraged to apply to all but can only be chosen for one. Deadline for submission is January 31, 2025.
