My name is Candy Keller and I am the Chief Financial Officer for Gladewater ISD.  I have been in education for 21 years with 19 years at GISD.  Previous positions at GISD include Middle School Math teacher, Math Interventionist for grades 6-8, and Master Teacher for Math and Science at Gladewater Middle School.  Prior to teaching, I spent 7 years as an accountant in public accounting as well as the private sector.  I am a proud Gladewater alumni and received my Bachelor’s Degree in Business in Accounting from Texas A&M University, College Station. I am a member of the Texas Association of School Business Officials.  As the CFO, I manage and oversee the business operations of the district, including Finance, Budget, Payroll, Accounts Payable & Receivable, Fixed Assets, PEIMS and Tax Collections.

The mission of the Business Operations Department is to efficiently and effectively manage the financial assets of the district in order to provide the students and staff the resources they need to meet the instructional and performance goals of the district and to ensure fiscal responsibility through compliance with local, state and federal guidelines.
